Lake Superior Performance Rally (aka LSPR, aka Press on Regardless, aka POR) has been held in the host town of Houghton, Michigan on the Upper Peninsula for several decades. Known as one of the longest and toughest events on the calendar, LSPR demonstrates the endurance aspect of modern rally with over 130 miles of competitive stages lasting well past midnight on Friday and continuing for the entire day on Saturday. This year's running featured the classic tarmac Brockway Mountian (Download it here) as well as several stages that had not been used in over a decade. Fast and flowing, dusty and narrow, slick and rough, LSPR has every kind of challenging terrain to test drivers', navigators', and equipment's mettle.
Quantum Rally Sport rose to the top of their class by winning each of the 17 stages in Group 2 (modified 2wd) and managed to set 5 top-10 overall stage times along the way. The team experienced a handful of minor setbacks including alignment issues, intercom failure, a bent strut, and a 2-minute penalty for checking into a control early. Nevertheless, the team boasted podium finishes at the end of each day of racing and took home 4th place MaxAttack! honors along the way.
